Holidays for a week...

Trip to Svetlogorsk was my first holidays abroad. We decided to go there at the seaside for ten days. Nice and small city at the seaside. No extra activities, no big shops, just relax there. We were able to rent 2 flats room for a week with all necessary fascilities quite cheap.

...Unique beach...

The beach was the thing we were surprised most. Although it's a baltic sea, but the shores were quite different than in my country. Narrow beach with very high shores. You can't go down from anywhere you want. There are special roads for this. Further from the center of the beach at the edges you can find really wonderful and unusual part of beach at the Baltic Sea.

A lot of different stones on the shore and in the sea, many dried trees after the storm etc. We even found an old statue without head while walking there...:) Further from the main entrance to the beach you'll find calm area without people. There are lots of small places for to get hot meal, drinks etc. close to the sea at the main road to the beach.

Pros and Cons

Pros:A good rest at the Baltic Sea...
Cons:Small city without extra activities...
In a nutshell:Quite cheap holidays at the sea...

Svetlogorsk in general Favorites (1)

Nice pics from Rauschen. It is indeed an other coastal landscape than in LT. But after coming from Lithuania Kaliningrad was a shock. for me (1993)
