Hemel Hempstead Travel Guide: 56 reviews and 204 photos

My trip to Hemel Hempstead wasn't due the touristic interests. I was visiting my close and dear friend who lives there for some years. I've stayed there just for two days and mostly enjoyed long talks with a friend I don't get to see so often as I would like to. But we also have found some time for a sightseeing tour, so I was able to get to know the place she lives at much better. The first impression of Hemel Hempstead was: "It's so different from London!" No massive rush, no ordinary police or ambulance sirenes, 90% of people I've seen in the streets were british and it looked like a quite calm and great place for living with a family.

A good thing is that Hemel Hempstead is located not so far from the London. You need to take train a bit up to its north about twenty miles from London. Not sure about many touristic spots in this town, but if you need a break from London and want to see something different, you could choose Hemel Hempstead.
