I went here on a bus-trip with my mother and sister to visit "The world of Astrid Lindgren" and the place where Astrid?s character 'Emil of Loenneberga' lived.

Here you can visit Astrid?s characters houses in miniature and go into the houses if you?re not too big. It?s really fun, especially for the children! Since I was there it has been a few changes; some new houses and also theatre with appearances of Astrid?s characters. Therefor I will try to go there again next year.

'Emil of Loenneberga' is one of Astrid Lindgrenýs most popular characters and films have been made after the books. The films are made here in Vimmerby and this is the real house of Emil. Nowadays other people are living there, but itýs still worth a visit!
