A few words about myself Hi, I'm Andreea (yes, with two e). I'm a Romanian living abroad. I was born and lived most of my life in Bucharest, Romania. In '96 I came to US to study and 4 years and one degree later I moved from the east coast (New Jersey) to the west coast ( San Francisco ).
Let's see... I like cities and I like hiking. I love my hometown of Bucharest and I miss Romania a lot. I don't care too much about life at the beach. I like history and reading about the past of the places. I like parties.
It's over a year now since I discovered VT. Like all of you I like traveling and I find VT to be really addictive. Almost every week I come up with new ideas about where I could go. I didn't get to visit all those places I dream about but due to all the planning my geography is improving ;-) |
A few words about my travel pages I constantly update two pages, that of Bucharest , Romania - the city where I was born and lived for most of my life and San Francisco , California, the city where I live now. The page that is closest to my heart is that of Bucharest, my hometown. Some of the new pages I created, places that I visited in late 2004 and beginning of 2005 are:
Haleakala National Park , on the island of Maui, Hawaii, a place full of eerie volcanic landscapes, whose peaks stretch above the clouds and 10,000 feet above the sunny beaches,
Joshua Tree National Park , a less known National Park located in the desert of southeast California where one can see strange looking trees and indulge in world class rock climbing,
Zion National Park , one of America's most beautiful parks, with 230 square miles of dramatic landscape of sculptured canyons and soaring cliffs,
and finally, a glimpse at the most popular Romanian destination, a beautiful town built by the Saxons in the 13th century, Brasov, Romania

Update I haven't contributed too much to VT in the last year and a half and that's because I've been traveling a lot. I hope to return soon, and start building new pages. Here is a list with the places that I've been to in the last 2 years. If anyone is interested in finding out about these places, please drop me a line and I'll do my best to answer.
