Ok, I'm a bit of an American history nerd. Especially when it comes to former Presidents. In Quincy, about 10 miles South of Boston, is the Adams National Park. This is very interesting and includes the birthpace and histories of John Adams and his Son, John Quincy Adams. If you are interested in the creation of the constitution, this is worth the trip. Open from April-November.

Blue Hills Blue Hills Reservation Review

About 10 miles south of Boston, Blue Hills is a great place for hiking. There is a lake for canoeing and swimming, but I like to hike, I have many times seen deer while walking the paths early in the morning. climb some of the peaks (easy climbs) and get a breathtaking view of Boston. The best time to go is in the fall for the foliage.
