Tourist Trap: EPCOT
  • Tip Rating:
  • skip this park. Disney should be absolutley embarassed about this place. I just went for the first time with family that was visiting. After several lame exhibits which were actualy advertisments for AT&T and Kodak, my Sister, knowing I like aquariums, suggested we go to 20,000 leagues under the sea. What a scam! we waitind five minutes to get in an elevator (they even had a countdown clock to give the impresion you were getting on a ride) once in we were promptly dropped off into a gift shop with a couple of tanks and very little fish. None of the sharks they promised in the brochure.

    Tourist Trap: Bongos
  • Tip Rating:
  • Bongos is a cuban restaurant in Downtown Disney. It is outrageously priced. Here is an example: 4 of us went to see a movie and stopped at Bongos beforehand. We each had two drinks and shared an appetizer. Guess how much: $50-60. HA! I wish! our bill was $143.00 oddly when we inspected the bill we saw that although we were drinking the same thing, there were different prices for the drinks. When we questioned the waitress she offered a lame excuse of she 'gave a discount on the first round' right. We complained and the manager took a couple drinks off the tab, but was still ultra expensive.

At Least Do This: Don't be afraid to ask the price ahead of time.
    Alternative: Take your business elsewhere.

You're welcome Scott! Hope your day is filled with great surprises! Need to get down there again sometime. Orlando is a fun town. :-)

WDW pays too much for staff and entertainers. Better to close down the dance venues / clubs and let private companies come in and pay WDW! Makes sense but not good for the entertainers. I sent you something to your AOL.
