I spent a year in Ft Lauderdale when I was 23. It is known as the Venice of the U.S. with all the water canals. I was lucky enough to live right off Los Olas on one of the many canals and just a mile from the beach. A truly unique living experience. Back then it was a party town. It still is, but the City has built a beautiful boardwalk on the beach and now caters to the European/family crowd as well. Not as expensive or exclusive as Miami Beach, but it still has that South Florida feel. |

I loved Las Olas, also sunrise is fantastic in Lauderdale. We drove weat one day after the sunrise to the west coast to watch the sunset. It was amazing. | hotsauce28 Sat May 27, 2006 16:22 UTC

Scott, you're absolutely correct about the Elbow Room, sat there many a time and enjoyed the view...the Lion cloth was NOT my idea!!! Fun pages...all of them. Cheers |
