New Mexico - proof that God exists

by shohman - last update: May 29, 2008

New Mexico is an incredibly beautiful State. In the South, it is mostly dessert but as you drive north, the landscape includes mountains, rivers and forrests. I spent most of my time up north, just outside of Taos, and we had snow every day..at the end of May
I only spent 4 days here, but I crammed a lot into that four days. I will absolutely be back.

rainbows

This was the biggest, most vibrant rainbow I ever saw. Just outside of Taos
Elk

elk galore

everyday we saw elk, sometimes as many as 40 at a time. I can't describe how great it felt to watch these animals grazing, sometimes right on the lawn of the home I stayed at.

More Fishing! Yes, that is what is fun about being old and retired is every day is another chance to fish (or ski in the winter) We will stop for that on our wander through. thanks
