At a wedding in Orlando this weekend

Amazing. The Rio Grande is below. To the Northeast, skies were blue. To the west a snow storm was visible in the mountains. It was a fantastic day to hike.

This weekend was one of the top art shows in the country, The Winter Park Art Festival. Artists come from all over the U.S. and it draws a huge crowd every year.

Pictured here is a sculpture by one of the most popular artists in the festival.

Nude Nite 2008
Anyone who thinks Orlando is nothing but theme parks and rednecks needs to learn about the other side. My town has a funky, artsy, culture. Nude Night is a perfect example. This is without a doubt the funkiest art show of the year and draws the coolest, most eclectic crowd.

Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt: A memior of a boy growing up in Ireland in the 30's. His life if terribly hard but he keeps his sense of humor. His style of writing is perfect (he writes in the Irish brogue)
