I spent 4 days in San Francisco; it was definitely not enough time, but that just means I have to go back!
I do suggest good walking shoes. You could take public transportation or taxis, but you will miss out on some of the charm that SF can offer you. Not only do you feel like you accomplished something after you climb those amazing hills, but there is so much charm to the different sections of the city. It would be awful to miss out on that, besides who knows what you may find!!! |

While in San Francisco, look out for streets named after famous people who lived, visited or wrote about the city. In China town, you can find Jack Kerouac Alley. I was a bit disappointed with the alley since there wasn't much to it, but I guess he wasn't from SF. | | |
