Places to Avoid: Fremont st. experience.Don't venture too far away

    • the Fremont st. experience is bright,exciting,alluring,and beautiful. It is also in the heart of downtown which is a very dangerous area after dark(and usually before as well).If you find yourself there,stay on fremont st. and if you're heading to the strip leaving downtown, stay on las vegas blvd. The side streets in the downtown area are very gang-infested and most eastern cities seem tame. It is not a joke so stay on Fremont st. all the way to las vegas blvd. and take a left towards the strip and be cautious until you get to desert inn blvd. then you can relax.

    • Pittman is about 2.5-3 miles from downtown but there are resorts in this area that draw tourists as well. I grew up in this area and saw many tourists get robbed and worse.If you visit the Skyline casino or the Joker's wild,fine,just stay on the main highway.Get a street map and find the triangle area between boulder hwy.,sunset rd.,and pabco rd. and x it out. Not a tourist friendly place!!
