"Pulau Besar" Pulau Besar by justagirlinasia

We started out in the wee hours of the morning... All of us feeling groggy and still half asleep, we hailed a cab from the Bus Terminal @ Bugis and were off to Mersing, the gateway to several islands...

Upon reaching Mersing, we realised that we were way too early for the ferry... had breakfast @ the nearby food center (nothing to rave about) and, spent our time doing nothing whilst waiting for our ferry ride.

In Pulau Besar (Big Island), there was really nothing much to do. Which was GREAT!!! Coming from Singapore, it was the IDEAL destination, exactly what i had in mind because there were no obstructions when i looked up, it was the clear blue sky.

There were 2 resorts that were closest to the jetty, Aseania & D'Coconut. D'Coconut being the cheaper... but when we saw D'Coconut, it was a blessing that we took the cheaper priced resort because it was absolutely beautiful.

The rooms were clean, tastefully decorated.. the staff there were friendly and hospitable, we almost didn't want to go home!

There was a bar @ the pool for you to lounge in and on our last night, it so happened that the hotel crew started a campfire right on the beach. Picture this, the nightsky, the sea breeze, the campfire, music and booze.

I guess I wouldn't say "boredom" but it was because we had time to unwind and do nothing, the resort guests organized a game of Captain's Ball. All of us had fun, it really didn't matter who won at the end of the day...
