A place of natural scenery

Albay province is still a struggling area, slowly developing and making its way up the economic chain with the rest of the country. Predominately marked by an almost perfect conical volcano, Albay offers a natural habitat adventure seekers will love.

Mt. Mayon had its first recorded eruption back in 1616 and has already claimed many lives, including the historical event where a nearby Spanish Church (Cagsawa) was buried from an eruption in 1814.

The legend of Mt. Mayon comes from the tale of a jealous uncle who chased after his niece and her lover. Listening to her prayers, the gods buried Magayon where he still resides inside the volcano. Every now and then, his anger is shown by the eruptions that still intermittently occur to this day...
