Wind N' Sea La Jolla
"Citizens of the quiet universe, lulled by oceanic steppes." ~Mary Poxon

San Diego is a great city to visit. It is divided into many smaller cities, each with thier own personality and style. My personal favorite part of San Diego is "North County" where you can drive along the pretty ocean highway and enjoy the laid back lifestyle. For more information, go to my tips pages for cool things to do if you visit.
Blacks Beach, La Jolla

My List of Top 10 Things to do in San Diego

1. Go to beautiful La Jolla Cove Beach around sunset hour, take a walk along the ocean sidewalk, go see the seals at children's pool, then watch the sun go down. After your beach walk, then go to Prospect Street in La Jolla and stop for dinner at Alfonsos Mexican restaurant.
2. Drive along the coast highway 101 from La Jolla to Carlsbad (NOT DURING TRAFFIC HOURS, best time around 10:00-2:00) Go through Del Mar where you can look at some of the overpriced shops, have lunch at the ultimate California surfer breakfast/lunch spot at Pipes Café in Cardiff and stop by the ocean cliffs and pretty gardens at Self Realization Fellowship in Encinitas
3. Take your towel, a good book and sun block and relax at the beach. Good beach spots are Windansea in La Jolla, La Jolla Shores, Del Mar and Moonlight Beach Encinitas.
4. Take a hike at Torrey Pines State Park. If you are in good shape, take the walk that goes down to the ocean (ranger will be available with trail maps)
5. In the evening, watch the sunset and then have a beach bonfire at either La Jolla Shores or Moonlight Beach in Encinitas; if you go to Moonlight Beach, stop at Vigulucci's Italian Restaurant in Encinitas for dinner
6. Go to lovely Balboa Park, wander around to the museums, the rose garden and catch an Imax movie. Balboa Park is close to the zoo, so if you are interested in that, you will be in the area.
7. Go to Old Town and stop at one of the Mexican restaurants and walk around the shops.
8. Wander the Gaslamp Quarters downtown at night and catch a jazz band
9. Rent bikes at Mission Bay or Pacific Beach and ride along the boardwalk
10. Spend an afternoon in Seaport Village
Encinitas (Northern San Diego)
