Well we are here in the UK now. Just got our own house. Renting Privately. Mainly because the council here has its own Agenda as far as issuing houses out. Besides there is no way we can wait for them to find their own posterias with their gripping appendages, since we have lives to live. Also I dont consider a 1 bedroom flat a good offer for a family. But 1st it was to be B&B at 840 pounds a month. No F Way .
So now we have a nice 3 Bedroom house in the town centre. With everything close by. Wicked

April 21st 2005, already been to Consulate in Pieter and got all necessary Visa's for my Wife, Our Daughter has British passport so thats easy. we have bought our tickets and now wait for the flight home. In just over a week we will all wake up in the UK. The start of at least two years residence there. Needless to say we are very busy Packing, cleaning and generally getting ready for the two day trip to the UK. 8-)

8th January at 2325 local time (Petrozavodsk) Our Daughter was born here in Russia. WOW !!! I was able to be present throughout the entire birth and it was a great experience. I don't think the russian doctor and Midwife knew what to do with me and hence left me alone. I supported my wife throughout the whole time, she remarked that it was very helpful me being there in any case. Our daughter of course is very lovely and the best thing in the whole wide world, mother is recovering and will be out of the hospital I hope by the weekend :-)

Well just got back from spending over three weeks in Russia. Did not want to come back to UK. But have loads of photos and quite a few more tips to add, once I have caught up with all the other things here in the UK, will be adding to my pages here.

Well back in the USSR (to paraphrase a Beatle). Sorting out various legalities, I used to think UK red tape was bad, well they have alot to learn from the Russian Government. Still it is not stopping me spending what free time I have touring around. Already been to Solovesky Island (Hitch-hiked there) also spent some time just chilling near a big lake with a beachside tent, open fires under the stars, roasted meat and cold beer and vodka. Hmm what a relaxing way to spend a week or so :-) . Hope to get some photos up soon

Hmm, early July getting ready for extended trip abroad. Luggage up to 30 kilos. BA charge £9.43 for each extra kilo above the 23K allowence....OUCH.Some serious sorting needed.But hey it was up 38 last week. Only 10 days to go now :). Always hard to sort out essentials from the junk. No matter how frequent you travel :) Got to invest in some of those VAcu-Bags to reduce the bulk size if nothing else. Only have two hands and already feel like a pack donkey.

Not quite but almost then. Anyway a lot has been happening and still is, so only a few moments to bring this to date as such.
1st Got my Range Rover and its all tax and road legal, well impressed, its a bit tatty but slowly improving its condition.
Sophia has her first pair of real shoes and now can walk with a little help. Also Six teeth are through (she is at the bite anything stage...ouch)
Lena's parents are coming over here from the 3rd November till the 3rd December. SO a lot of rearranging of the house underway to accomodate them. Somewhat stressful time at the moment.
Now in the process of buying all the clothes we left behind when we arrived here in April. Such as Fleece's , Waterproofs and such.
Okay thats it for the moment.

Wow would you believe we have started our 2nd Year here in the UK. And to cap it all Elena is expecting again. This time we are to be blessed with a son, already the name has been chosen
