MERI JAAN...MERA GUJRAT!

Gujrat,a city of beautiful people,is situated in the Province Punjab of Pakistan.it is just at 2 hours drive from Lahore and 3 hours drive from Islamabad,the capital of Pakistan.Gujrat is very famous for its Mughal traditions and Political Background.There are many Fan Factories here,which export Fans not only to the other cities but also to all over the world.The fans in our holy ,sacred mosque in Madina Munawara are exported from Gujrat also.There are furniture showrooms in Gujrat and their furniture and woodwork is very famous.Gujrat has one fort and 2 gates also,named Kalri Gate and Bhati Gate.The fort is spoiled and many shops have been opened in and around the fort.Recently a radio station has been opened in Gujrat namely,AWAZ 105 FM.and it has given a new identity to Gujrat.Medical Facilities are very good here,,but Gujrat has no institution for higher studies.Students have to go around Gujrat in cities like Lahore and Islamabad for higher studies.CM of Punjab ,also belongs to Gujrat.The popular,shoe factory,Service Factory is also in Gujrat....In Short,,One must visit Gujrat,Although it is a small city,yet is has many attractions to draw ur attention.

Cons:Did not find any!
In a nutshell:If u have come into this world...do visit GUJRAT...before dying!

While coming from abroad...u have to land at ISLAMABAD OR LAHORE AIRPORT...from there u can pick a bus which will drop u... more travel advice

I have only driven through Gujrat on my way from Lahore to Rawalpindi and back. But I'd definitely like to visit the city one day. My father-in-law is originally from Gujrat, but lives in Lahore.

3 years ago! When I visited Gujrat It was a gr8 fun..my Aunt lives there.It was amazing 2 visit all the factories & inner city..Thanx 4 lightened my memories...
