i don't speak french..

by pehsan - last update: Nov 20, 2005

bonjour

somewhere over the rainbow....
This is an overview of Montreal, from mt-royal, beautiful spot, and we were so lucky to get the rainbow in this picture.

drove down to montreal from ottawa for about 2 hours (i'm not the driver as i don't drive on the left). there i find myself in a rather busy street and dirty *no offense*. the reason why i mention dirty is because i saw the pleasent site of ottawa thus i thought this applies to every corner of canada.

my friend told me that people here speak dual language/bilingual. as i was walking though the streets, i had a little culture shock.. no doubt, everyone on the street speaks french but the nightlife here, is unbelieveable. i was like walking down "callywood" movie street.
i love to learn other foreign languages, at the moment, i speak english, mandarin, cantonese and bahasa malaysia. yet, it's insufficient for me to really blend in with the locals. thus, learning french did cross my mind.. we'll see.
rue cresent

rue (road) cresent

i'm still having problem pronousing the word "rue" in french. soooo hard. nonetheless, this is Cresent St. or Rue Cresent, and it's one of the hot spots in downtown montreal, with lots of restaurants and clubs.
