"Bangkok and Ayuthaya.." a Bangkok Travel Page by LoveItAll

We went to Bangkok beginning of December 2003 for a week. We started from Sabah, got on an AirAsia no-frills flight to Johore, putted up a night there and proceeded to Singapore to catch a SIA night flight to Bangkok. Reached Bangkok the night before the King's Birthday holiday. This was towards the weekend. I had planned earlier to coincise with the weekend long holidays so lot of offices in BKK will be closed and travelling within the city is not too hectic. Jam was not too bad cos half of the time we rided the BTS:). Grand Palace was closed on the King's Birthday. City was colourful. We visited Wat Pho, the Golden Buddha, Erawan Shrine. We went to the Bang Pa-In summer Palace, and ohh...Ayuthaya..its fasinating...my family like to see this place. Of cause you need to read some info beforehand to understand the rich history. We had a guide to show us. Yes, its everyone's favorite...shop and food...too many things to do with too little time...we will be back...
