Here's the view from our apartment during sunset. I've been told that the sunsets intensity is increased by the amount of pollution. It looks gorgeous though!

The boardwalk in our complex is beautiful; lush garden with the stinkin' scent of the Pearl River - you can't have everything :).

Oh Sweetie!

This sweet little girl was playing with her plastic bag in the breeze while her mom or her sister chatted with friends. Just after this she was aware I was there and watching her. When I said, 'Wei, ni hao.' she ran away screaming. Sometimes we have that effect on children. During the times of the Cultural Revolution and even earlier in Chinese history, white foreigners are described as terrifying spirits who haunt and hunt in the world. In fact, some people still call white people ghosts.
