The Palace in Phnom Penh looks very much like the palace in Bangkok Thailand for a good reason. The king at the time was so impressed with that one that he commissioned to have his built in the same style.

Killing Fields Monument

I had naively thought the atrocities that occured in that place would be laid to rest with the resurrection of this monument. I was obviously wrong. Its not surprising that as you walk through the grounds a chill runs down your spine like someone was walking over your grave - you're certainly walking over someone elses.

Looking at the Museum

In the older section of Phnom Penh near the river you can turn 360 and find a magnificent view from every degree.

• Cons:Intense beggars - aggressive, frequent, persistent
• In a nutshell:For now a brief time is a good time but local foreigners grow to love it...
