I'm so jealous your team is better...

1st Annual Habs vs. Leafs Party - Jan. 2003

Is there any better reason to visit Montreal than to see a Habs/Leafs game? Ok sure, there probably is...but not when you bring 16 of your closest friends and make the 9 hour drive only to watch your favourite team lose...wait...ok, it's still the best reason to come to Montreal in my opinion.

This photo was taken during a trip to Montreal in Jan. 2003, the 1st of what was to become an annual event. This is my sister (the SMART Habs fan) and her boyfriend Jerome (the not-so-smart but very funny Leafs fan). It was a great trip, only to be followed by many more!

2nd Annual Habs vs. Leafs Party - Jan. 2004

So we're back again for the annual Leafs vs. Habs game in good ol' Montreal. As you can see, Jerome has decided to stop cheering for the junky Leafs :) ...now he's rooting for a team that no longer exists (though some die-hards would argue that).
Actually it turns out that the Leafs beat the Habs once again :(. It was an amazing time and everyone is already looking forward to next year to do it all over again. This year brought twice as many people to the event (32 in all) and yes...the party was even bigger!
