Africa - the most scariest yet wonderful place on

by skatzcatz - last update: Jul 11, 2004

Having spent 6 weeks in Africa i feel as if i've journeyed to a place where materialistic things people from Western Civilisations matter none at all. People in these coutries have been the friendliest and most helpful of all people i have met. Africa is also a continent of such beauty and variety in wildlife 6 weeks is hardly enough. No doubt i'll be back again in the not to distant future. If there was 1 continent i would never want to miss seeing, its Africa.... by a mile

My Last Email in Africa

Its just after noon and my last day in Africa. Thought i'd try and remember some nicer things about Africa before i left. I'm off to London tomorrow morning and probably won't be in contact for a few days, although my phone will once again work.

* the street vendors who sell things walking the streets shuffling coins in their hands, adds a musical note to the streets.

* although i'm sometimes nervous in africa the amount of jambo's - hello's i receive from people blows me away at times.

* street touts who make me laugh, constantly annoying me and hassling but somewhere in what they say i can't help but laugh at their persistence and sometimes the distances they walk with a tourist trying to make a buck. Sometimes it justs helps to talk to someone even if they are just after money, but i'm just after knowledge.

* internet cafes, although the connection is slow they provide a good respite from the heat

* regular moslem speaches over the loudspeakers. Not sure if they are religious (probably) but they have kind of grown on me.

OK, had so many things i wanted to type but with the pictures and writings i've in my book i'm sure you'll get the picture africa is an awesome place.

Anyway tomorrow as i said i'm off to london.

take care every1, thanks for the late birthday wishes and may every1 follow their dreams like i am following my Zanzibar dream........

Hi Rod, that's a great intro!...However, I think your tip is certainly not representative for Africa....only for some tourist spots.
