| Romerberg - the old central square |
Every second year, Frankfurt is home to one of the world's largest Motor Shows. And to a car enthusiast, like my husband, this is pretty exciting stuff. So this was basically the reason that we went to Frankfurt, though I made sure we stayed for an extra day so we could have a look around this interesting city.
I really liked Frankfurt. It was clean, and easy to navigate around. We felt safe, and the autumn weather was perfect. I loved the skyscrapers, the Romerberg and the river. Highly recommended for a short break. |

bilgeez Sat Oct 10, 2009 01:22 UTC Schnitzel looked fine to me! Been around a bit, have you? Get a DB pass next time, much cheaper! Havn't much experience with hotels in Frankfurt, I have relatives there. Why do you think most Germans are the size of a house? LOL! | BillNJ Thu Apr 17, 2008 16:55 UTC Great tips and photos. Look like you had an enjoyable time in Frankfurt! Best from New Jersey, Bill | diocletianvs Thu Jan 24, 2008 17:44 UTC Ah, the joys of "talking" to DB ticket machines that always try to sell you the most expensive ticket seems to be the German local custom ;) Love those skyscrapers, will have to visit soon. | yooperprof Sun Jan 13, 2008 00:27 UTC I like your restaurant tips! Better luck next time with a hotel - I've had good luck in Frankfurt with Priceline! |
