Things To Do: Severn Bridge

When we drove from England to Wales, we had to cross the Severn Bridge. The toll at the time we were there was 4.60pounds (only paid on entering Wales). It is a spectacular looking suspension bridge, which crosses the Severn Estuary, and was opened by the Queen in 1966. A second bridge has been built since, to cope with increased traffic flow. I have a bit of a secret passion for suspension bridges, so was very excited to cross it!!

Fabulous Severn Bridge photos. It is a pity that the weather was grey. I have seen the Bridge a couple of times from the train and I was always fascinated by the construction. Are fluffy sheeps allowed to cross the bridge from Wales to England?? :o) |
