| Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff Bay |
Cardiff is the capital of Wales, located in the southeast corner of the country. It has only been the capital since 1955 and is these days a centre for sport, thanks to the impressive Millennium Stadium.
Make sure you visit the vibrant and architecturally intriguing Cardiff Bay area, and you can't miss the Castle which is located in the heart of the city.
We spent a weekend in and around Cardiff - not long enough to see all that the city has to offer, but we got a good taste for what it was all about, and I must admit to being pleasantly surprised to find out it was not the industrial-type town that I imagined. |

BillNJ Thu Jun 19, 2008 09:24 UTC Great tips and photos. But, I was a little disappointed that you didn't even mention the greatest Welshman of them all, Tom Jones. (haha) Seriously, your page makes me want to book a flight. Best from New Jersey, Bill | rexvaughan Mon Feb 19, 2007 15:10 UTC Giving some consideration to a trip to Wales.
