Kersey is a small Suffolk village which I really loved. It is home to some great timber-framed houses and thatched cottages.
The small main street slopes down at one end and then up again towards an attractive church. At the bottom of the hill is a small ford that runs right across the main road - I'm not sure I have ever visited a place which has a stream running across its main street - very cool!
Before our visit I had read about some vicious ducks who apparently guard over the ford, chasing passers-by who dare to get close to their home. Much to my dismay there were no ducks to be seen when we were there. |
