Kersey

Kersey main street
Kersey is a small Suffolk village which I really loved. It is home to some great timber-framed houses and thatched cottages.

The small main street slopes down at one end and then up again towards an attractive church. At the bottom of the hill is a small ford that runs right across the main road - I'm not sure I have ever visited a place which has a stream running across its main street - very cool!

Before our visit I had read about some vicious ducks who apparently guard over the ford, chasing passers-by who dare to get close to their home. Much to my dismay there were no ducks to be seen when we were there.

I've come across some vicious swans but never vicious ducks!

Another lovely-sounding village - you seem to have discovered some gems on this trip!

I first thought it was one of the many places that had floods but a stream in the middle of a main road very unusual
