Kersey Travel Guide: 4 reviews and 27 photos

Kersey is a small Suffolk village which I really loved. It is home to some great timber-framed houses and thatched cottages.

The small main street slopes down at one end and then up again towards an attractive church. At the bottom of the hill is a small ford that runs right across the main road - I'm not sure I have ever visited a place which has a stream running across its main street - very cool!

Before our visit I had read about some vicious ducks who apparently guard over the ford, chasing passers-by who dare to get close to their home. Much to my dismay there were no ducks to be seen when we were there.

I first thought it was one of the many places that had floods but a stream in the middle of a main road very unusual

This seems to be indeed a fabulous place. A pity that you didn't meet the lovely ducks of Kersey. :-)

That is a good website, isn't it. I keep finding new ones in that vein.
