"Pretty Surrey Village of Shere" Shere by sue_stone

Shere Travel Guide: 7 reviews and 20 photos

Shere is a cute little village in the Surrey countryside. It is famous for being used as a location for several films in the past few years.

We stopped by for a wander about one grey spring day, looking for somewhere to have a traditional Creamed Tea (Scones with jam and clotted cream). We stopped into the Lucky Duck Tea Room but were disappointed to learn they didn't have any clotted cream.

After a look around Shere we continued on our drive into deepest Surrey and had a delicious lunch at the Stephan Langton Inn, located in the tiny Hamlet of Friday Street.

Nice little page Sue. I can't agree with those two ladies who thought water was a good substitute for beer however ;)

I can't believe that Andrew hasn't been here yet. However, fabulous little page. Does the drinking fountain supply beer or what? :o)
