We spent an amazing day visiting some of the Chateau's of the the Loire.
We stayed for 2 nights in Blois (pronounced Blwah), which is a medieval town located on the northern bank of the River Loire.
It is ideally situated in the heart of the Loire Valley. It is a perfect base to visit some of the nearby Chateau's.

Beautiful photos and good tips, Sue. We are beginning to plan a trip to the Loire Valley and Bordeaux and you're pages were helpful as always. Tom
Simply beautiful.
Hi Sue! Your pic of Chenonceau castle jumped at the VT title-page and I was impressed very much and came to your page. I have not regretted! Beautiful pics and tips - reminded me my travel in 1995... Thanks!
Lovely pictures of the Chateaux.
lovely castles of the Loire-valley !
We spent our honeymoon in that area, so your page brought back many wonderful memories! Castle fever, indeed!
Excellent page, love the hunting dog photos.
This is indeed a wonderful area. I still can't pronounce Blois however. Also enjoyed your "bedroom" VT meeting. Brad does get around, doesn't he?
Excellent page with fabulous chateau photos of Blwah ...ehmmm, but why is this place pronounced like when someone is puking? ;-)
I remember many of these from your pictures. Great pages!
