General Tips: Get Lost!

Favorite Thing: The best way to explore Venice is just to wander around the narrow streets, away from the more touristy areas. You will stumble across beautiful canals, local squares and great cafes. Some of the most interesting areas are off the main tourist trail. Take a wander through the Jewish Quarter, and further north in Cannaregio for some hidden gems. Or wander Dorsoduro region in search of the perfect espresso.

General Tips: Internet near the Train Station

Favorite Thing: If you are staying near the train station or have some time to kill before catching your train, there is a conveniently located Internet point only a minute or 2 away. VeNice Internet point is located on just down from the station on Rio Terra Lista di Spagna. There are plenty of high speed computers and while not the cheapest internet place in Italy, it is clean and convenient. Oh, and there is a fabulous pasticceria next door!

Favorite Thing: One thing I really love about Venice is the Campanile di San Marco, or Bell Tower of St. Mark's, which stands magnificently in Piazza San Marco. For the best views in Venice, jump in the elevator and ride to the top. From here you can see this fabulous city laid out below you. You can see out into the lagoon and all the islands in the distance. And you can still even see the pigeons!
Fondest Memory: Just take a look and tell me how anyone could not think this is an amazing city!
