On our weekend to Boulogne we had some spare time on Sunday morning so decided to take a drive to Le Touquet-Paris-Plage. It took approximately 30-40 minutes to drive to from Boulogne. Le Touquet used to be a very popular destination for holidaying Parisians back in the early to mid 1900’s, due to its close proximity to Paris, and fabulous seaside location. These days it appears to be more of a destination for British tourists, due to its closeness to Boulogne & Calais ferries. There is a long central shopping street that leads you to the seaside. The street is lined with shops, bars, restaurants and cafes, and is modern and clean. Towards the seaside there is a fabulous old carousel and some other activities to keep the kids amused. It is a nice looking town with plenty of facilities for all the family, and has a bit of a posh feel about it. Worth a look while in the area.
