We did a whirlwind tour of Egypt, which started and finished in Cairo.

We did not have anywhere near enough time to get a real feel for this huge, crazy city.

Only able to touch on the attractions on offer here, I hope to get back to Cairo one day to see more and to take the time to really soak up some Egyptian culture.

I am Egyptian MuslimThe whirling dance is not part of Islam at all Prayer and fasting in Egypt for Muslims is not part of traditions it is God's rule I just wanted to correct your misunderstandings so please correct them.

Great page, Sue. The traffic sounds like India! Despite visiting many Sufi shrines- I have yet to see the Whirling Dervishes. This is something I would love to see..Good photos.

I once took the nighttrain from Luxor to Cairo and also enjoyed it. Thanks for bringing back memories!

I think you were very generous or forgiving to give this a medium rating. I think I would have given it a 1/5. Hope you get to go back to Cairo. I found it fabulous, only spent ten or so days there but I was kept busy the whole time, must go back...
