I have put off building my Paris page for a few years now.
I'm not really sure why the delay...perhaps just because there are so many other Paris pages...what do I have to say that hasn't already been said over & over.
Or maybe it is just that I didn't know where to start...it is hard to write about one of the most loved cities in the world.
So, I decided to start slowly...and build this page bit by bit...digging up memories from my trips to Paris...though feeling that even after 6 visits I have barely scratched the surface.
For the time being, I have just listed hotel and restaurant tips, plus a list of some of my favourite things to do if you have just a couple of days to explore.

We arrived at La Rotonde des Tuileries restaurant after a fantastic visit to the Louvre and we settled down for the worst lunch during our stay in Paris! Avoid at all costs unless you want your day ruined! Absolutely shocking service and food!
I knew you'd have some good Paris food tips :-) I can't believe I've never tried that ice cream, this time it's a MUST!!!

I used to live in the Marais district, so I'm glad you included some tips from there. I'm off to Paris again next Saturday!
Whenever I feel the need to drool over restaurant reviews i know I can rely on you Sue, and this page certainly doesn't disappoint :) Congratulations on some excellent tips, from one creme brulee fan to another!
As a restaurant fiend, I figured I ought to send you two of our favorites: L'Affriole in the 7e and Le Petite Pontoise in the 5e. Bon Appetit!
Great food tips as always, creme brulee seems to be winning over ice-cream. Please write some more about Paris, I want to see your photos !

I was only here once years ago - and I could only afford a cheese omlette every night from a little local cafe... If I ever go back at least I will be able to find (and hopefully afford!) something a bit nicer. Love the intro photo! See you soon x
