The port town of St-Malo is located at the mouth of the River Rance, and is one of Brittany's most popular tourist destinations.
I have read horror stories of tourist-overload in July & August…..luckily we visited in June and it wasn't crowded at all. We easily got parking, and really enjoyed our visit to the walled old town.

Great page, Sue! Personally I did not like St. Malo very much, but maybe it was the weather (or the other fabulous places in this area)! Glad you had such a good time!
Fascinating place. I was there aged 7 and remember nothing but the train running through the streets!
There's definitely a recurring theme on your pages - good photos, good writing, and ice-cream ;-)
I just hope you didn't visit St. Malo just after Fougeres, as two ice creams per day in two different cafes aren't allowed by VT law ... by the way: another fantastic page of yours ... :-)
