"Tanger" a Province de Tanger Travel Page by diageva

This is my second time at Tanger. Both times I get here by ferry and only to go somewhere else. It’s a great place to start travelling through Morocco. Next time I will spend more time here, it’s an interesting place. It is something so incredible to be in a place so near from where you life and so different.

As you put your feet at Morocco be prepared to begin to fight :)

Sometimes I do travel far away from my home, from Malaga, searching new things, new feelings, new ways of see life … I am so lucky … so lucky to have Morocco so near cause here I do find a what I am looking for, and I only need few hours to get here.

The first time I get the ferry to Tanger I read my guide while I was getting to Morocco coast. I read in that book that is better to go with a group the first time you you are going there, and that if you are a woman you should not walk alone … It was my first time at Morocco and I was going there alone … but I didn’t want to belief those words … so there I was going …

I love coming here, and I will come more and more … a really incredible experience … a place with of nice people that knows how to give and share.

To get to know Tanger you can go walking around the city but you will need a car to go around, to see the beaches and the coast and go up and down the hills ...

Go to Tanger from Malaga's Airport

1.Take train from airport to Fuengirola (the train station is near the entrance
of the airport ....just ask for the train. It departs each half an hour

2 euros ... aprox ....
40 minuts

2.Take the bus from Fuengirola to Algeciras ...

6 euros aprox
2 hours aprox

3. As you arrive to Algeciras go to the port ... is just there where the bus station

just take the next ferry ... the last I think is at 21:30

2'30 hours ... but they use to be late

Morocco have 1 hour less than Spain you are wining time
there are fast ferries ... so try to pick one of those ... fast farries spend 1 hour .... but choose Transmediterraean better than ...

the better ferry company departs from Tarifa and Gibraltar is call FRS ... so you can take this one as you come back and visit Gibraltar
or Tarifa

4. From the port you can take a taxy to the train station of Tanger ... you can reach the principal Morocco's cities by train ... the train is great
