A diferent NYC

Sometime you go somewhere with so much images in your head ... with your own city made-up that has nothing in common with the real one.

NYC was so different of what I imagine …

My NYC was a very stressful city, but I founded the centre a wonderful place to walk along ... It is really nice to walk up and down those streets. It was very easy to cross the roads and the traffic was not so terrible. Cars go very slowly and they are very careful not to knock you down. Law are very strick with drivers

My Central Park was a place I was not really interest of, but the real Central Park did impress me and make me love it, and all the building around it …

I was going at Christmas time and my Christmastime NY was full of lights ... the real one was not ... and Rockefeller centre’s tree was much more little than I imagen it, but it was great to see those angels and all the life you find there, people skying ( how do you say when you sky over ice ? ) ...

My NYC was full of high modern buildings ... so I did lookup and try to get impress buy those buildings ... but those buildings where not so tall and not so modern ... at the centre buildings where old ... and with soul ... some with very old elevators that makes you feel as you are at a movie :))))

I didn’t founded a dangerous centre city streets but a dangerous stores full of people wanting to trick you … so easy prize … a tourist at NYC for only few days, coming from so far away. Every time we where going to pay at a bar or a restaurant even at hotel’s bars, the bill was overprice.

I had been a very easy prize for Midtown sellers, I was trick at one of those electronic stores and knowing I was being trick I did sing my bill cause … is a long story. So now I have a new camera I don’t want to use for a while. Why law is not so strick with sellers and these kind of stores if everyone knows their taktics?

I didn’t had a camera when I arrived to NYC so I have no pics of my 4 days at NYC, but believe me I will come back to try to discover this great city.

To resume I found a city with much more soul that I imange, more warm, more human a place where I could live

Love your writing here. Must be true for us whenever we visit a new city (vs the one 'in our head') :-) Always knew that shopping is a dangerous activity in NYC ... but glad to see you strong about this !!

No te trato bien NYC. Las tiendas de Broadway -casi todas en manos de David- son de lo peor que yo haya visto en comercio. Unas verdaderas trampas cazabobos...
