"Munich" a Munich Travel Page by diageva

I spended 3 week in March of 2003 in Munich making a language course. I had a great experience. Munich is lovely full of live. It happen to me that I arrived in carnaval time and that the first day a found the streets full of people with funny dresses.
The year before, in 2002, I went 2 weeks to Bamberg, so I founded a great contrast from this to german's cities

A arrived to Munich by plane, from airport I took the train to the center of the city. A big city with thousands of things to do. I would have like to have been at VT when I came here for meet some of you there. And also, I would like to love beer ... :) as Munich is a kind of paradise for beer lovers.
Its a city full of foreingners, where turkish population is hight ... Near the train station you feel as you are nearly in turkey :)

Being Munich a big city, I did not have that feeling because of the life around the Isar river and English garden, where you are like in a country side .... also because of the size of buildings ...

I had the feeling that there where always something to celebrate ... and was really impressed that despite of the weather ... municher people love to seat outside in does big outside bars with thousands of long tables where you see them drinking giants beers as they are water :)
