    • One of the places you will visit at Venice as at the rest of Italy are churches.
    During the Service at a church you can't visit it. You will find a man at the door of the most tourist churches so that only people that are going to the service enter.

    • As at south Spain you will find lots of imagines of the Virgin and of Jesus or of other saints in many places, at Venice, nearly everywhere ... there are of great beauty and art and old. This is a custom I love cause they use to have flowers and candles and they look great at night.
    Maybe you can ask something to on of those Virgin and put the imagine a candle, perhaps your petition will be hear :)

    Look for them and look them near … they are really beautiful.

    • There are many nuns at Venice:). The ones I saw where dress in white, perhaps because it was summer ... I would have like to have a nun for me as a model to make a nice pic :) so I used to follow them to make a pic with a nice background :) ... but it was not so easy :) I also wanted to see the resto of Venice :)

    • You can see the importance of the Carnival all the year for the lots of fancy dress stores you will find all along Venice.

    Lots of religious fancy dresses, mask of all kinds ... all with a great art made and high quality

    • If you want enter at the top building of Venice you will have to make long queues. Its usual to see big groups coming suddenly ... they use to make another queue.

    Next time I promise to make those queues to get inside San Marcos ...

    I didn't want to wait any queue, not for this time, only I waited a little one at the tower Campanille at San Marcos Square.

    • A local custom is to give food to the pigeons at San Marcos Square.

    I don't like pigeons :) they are very dirty animals ... but I do see nice to see them in some places. Is great to see the children feeding these birds.

    At the same square you will find little mobile stores to by food for the pigeons for 1 euro (August 2004)
