At the 18th century at Burghausen were 1100 death sentences imposed within 30 years. At the 4th inner ward you can visit the forture tower with gothic instruments. Here is also standing the witch tower for feminine prisoners. Prominent prisoners like duke "Ludwig der Gabartete" of Ingolstadt, died 1447 with 81 years during the arrest, in the donjon of the first inner ward.
