No visit to Sabah is complete without climbing Mount Kinabalu and heading on down to Sepilok Orangatan Rehabilitation Centre near Sandaan. To get here cheaply by a one way ticket to KK and then return from Sandakan with air asia www.airasia.com, and do he middle bit by bus. Our stay in Borneo was the highlight of our 4 month stay in asia.

If you're planning the walk up Mount Kinabalu make sure you are equipped with some rain gear and a good pair of shoes. While the hike/climb isn't as difficult as I thought it might be, it still wasn't easy. The view from the top is amazing but please don't run down like I did, my legs hurt for days afterwards!

We took loads of pic of the orangatans and I have uploaded just a few, the babies were the cutest though!

dive, dive, dive....

We were fortunate enough to stay at the Coral Bay Resort on the larger of the islands. This place was in a lovely setting and we only had to make a few step into the water to see hundreds of fish. We managed to swin with turtles and black tipped sharks. The snorkelling here was better than the diving in Thailand!
