Tourist Trap: Who's the Dummy??????
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Madame Tussauds Why is this place so popular? wax work dummies? what's the point. Everytime I used to pass it on the bus looking down on queue of visitors eagerly waiting to look at a bunch of dummies when they could just as easily buy a magazine. The entry costs are most frightening of any attraction in town though 22 pounds. Oh my god! 22 quid. For a family if four that come to 70 pounds or almost $100US. If you're planning to go to Madame Tussauds ask yourself "Who is the dummy, those wax works inside or the person about to pay 22 quid to go and see them?" No, no, no, go to a museum instead, its free and much more educational.

Alternative: Buy a celebrity magazine or go and see a live concert instead.

Great tips on the restaurants! And the #11 bus route. Wish I had all this knowledge when I was there in London in May. Thanks for the info! Noted for next visit. :-) By the way, I was no dummy! LOL (see tourist trap tip) ;-) ~Elaine~
