Alaska-Spirit of the Wild Our vacation to Alaska took us to places we've never seen or heard about. My brother-in-law acted as our Tour Guide as he resided in Achorage at the time, and we had a wonderful time together. we flew from McGhee-Tyson Airport (Knoxville, TN) to St. Louis, and changed planes to Anchorage......an 8 hour flight!!! Upon arriving, we had a nice dinner outside of the airport in Anchorage and settled in. Thruout our trip, we toured the Big Game Wildlife Center, rode the Anchorage Seward Railway to Seward and spent the day touring the towns many festivities, we stayed at The Breeze Inn located at the heart of Seward's boat harbor, just walking distance from the charter boats, toured the Alaska SeaLife Center, visited the Zoo, went on a day-cruise fishing excursion, played a round of golf, had dinner at The Fish House one evening, rented an RV and headed for Barrow, to see combat fishing at The Willows Fishing Camp during King Salmon season...what a treat! Did lots of shopping and had a ball* We plan to go back again sometime in the future. |
