The capital city is Higuey. Major towns are Nisibon, Punta Cana, San Rafael de Yuma.From Punta Cana to Macao, this is a stretch of the best beaches of the Caribbean Region.

Its clear waters, pearl white sand beaches and resorts built around lagoons and ponds make this area a real paradise. Manati Park is an ecological park and a replica of a Taino village, the natural habitat of the native Indians of this island.

    What a lovely walk down Memory Lane....D.R. is a really special place. I wish more Europeans would consider it as a wonderful alternative to Cuba. The Dominican economy sure could use the help. Bravo!!!
