I stay at this guesthouse WHENEVER there are rooms available (priority is given to guests invited by the Jagiellonian University). Be sure to make your reservation ahead of time!

Don't confuse this accomodation with student's dormitory! The guesthouse may look uninviting from the street but it is really nice inside. Plus it has a neat courtyard and another building in the back. Check some room pictures and general pictures.

It's my #1 accomodation: premium location in the core of the Old Town just a few steps from the Florian Gate, and really attractive prices - in the more expensive Mar-Nov season you'll pay $55 for a single and about $90 for a double. Some rooms share a bathroom (but between 2 rooms only) so they are cheaper (single at $48, double at $73) - I never used those but I guess it's good option if you're prepared to share the bathroom with your friends.

Simple breakfast is included but there is no restaurant that offers lunches or dinners. But do you really need that in a Krakow hotel? Just go out to the Old Town and pick a place that you like! Or check my Restaurant tips first :-)

Pollera: The old HOTEL POLLERA Pollera Review

This hotel is in a great location, just 5 minutes' walk to the Market Sq. and a few minutes' walk from the railway station. It enjoys some 150 years of tradition, so you may like its old-style interiors (click on the pic to see the secessional stained-glass window in the hotel's staircase).

The beautiful Slowackiego Theatre is within 2 minutes' walk from the hotel, and if you're an opera lover, you'll be happy to get a discounted ticket as the hotel's guest.

It is now on my first-choice accommodation list for Krakow! Their prices are quite competitive considering the location, and you really want a a hotel in the close vicinity of the Market if you're gonna spend most of your evenings enjoying its special atmosphere and fun :-)

Their prices vary: in Apr-Oct they are higher but you'll pay only $75 for a single, and about $90 for a double, breakfast included. Cheaper if you go in Nov-Mar.
