"Jipijapa" Jipijapa by shortygirl03

Jipijapa is a sleepy town. I can remember going to Jipijapa as a small child and in comparison to my trip last year, it has not changed much. The beauty of Jipijapa is its pure simplicity. It is a time warp. Walking around takes you to a time long gone in much of the modern world. A trip here is for relaxation and the enjoyment of the senses. It is not a beautiful town and it does not hold any amazing tourist site. What it does provide a visitor is time to oneself. I was there 3 days and it felt like 2 weeks. Yet it was in a good way. I soaked up the laid back spirit that is so very contagious there. I long to return.

• Cons:you have to know some Spanish.
