Breathe, eat and live culture | Performance @ Imperial palace |
Culturally rich Kyoto offers many beautiful sights and cultural performance for everyone.
Discover what suits you best by taking at least 3 days to explore the city. I could stay there for at least a week, maybe a month, just to scrape the surface. |
| | Take your time Nobody seems to be hurried in Kyoto. It's really sights galore in Higashiyama-ku where many attractions are within a stone's throw away from one another. Simply take a bus or train to an area and walk your way through.
The people don't speak much English but have plenty of patience. Get help from the tourist info office within 5 minutes walk from Kyoto train station for English aid. |
Tourist traps vs Off the Beaten Track There're the well trodden and recommended places and there are also those waiting for one to discover.
Kyoto is best discovered by taking your time to stroll aimlessly everywhere and anywhere. Your personal preference and extent of sense of adventure are the only tripping stones. | | |
