Not for the claustrophobic

Rush rush rush

Meiji Jingu
Tokyo is crowded and busy like most cities, maybe multiplied a few more times. There're just so many people.

If you don't like cities but find yourself stuck in Tokyo, the best solution is to either stay in the hotel all day watching TV or brace yourself for that short train ride to a place of solitude.

Yes, it's still possible to find areas that are relatively serene, so much so you'll forget you're in Tokyo.

Old vs New

In many areas of Tokyo, old traditions and modern living co-exist side by side. Step out of Meiji Jingu into Harajuku; across the Imperial Palace stands towering office buildings.

Consume consume consume

If shopping and eating are your forte, you will fit like a glove into Tokyo. There's so much to buy - one's bound to be tempted to purchase something.

Perhaps the Japanese have a knack of creating consumer goods that tug at the heartstrings of everyone.

I'd never known that Edo museum has a great collection if you didn't mention. I will try to make a visit there next time I'm in Tokyo. Thanks
