Do not be deceived by the blue sky in the photo.
I was freezing to death in Hamburg and my nose was redder than Rudolph's with all the sneezing.
We were visiting a mutual friend in Hamburg who invited us to his house for a Christmas meal (wonderful German food!!).
And he brought us to a church on Christmas eve, where the carollers sang Bach's cantatas (sob sob, it was so heavenly and touching...)
A very special Christmas indeed.

Hanging around the port is not a very wise thing to do, unless you have warm clothes to cuddle in. After a walk around... more travel advice
