"Viva Milano" a Milan Travel Page by akikonomu

Milan was our first destination in Italy coming from Nice in France. We were awed by the Milano Duomo, which is really one of my favourite sight in Italy. Pity that some of the vendors selling corn in the plaza for the doves are too persistant for their own good.

Then we proceeded to Rome to join a guided tour, but by some chance, we had to leave the group for a while in Como. From there, we headed back to Milan because we were so in love with the Duomo.

At that time, we were really soccer fanatics. Of course, we visited the San Siro and bought our football stars photos from street vendors or otherwise.

And of course, who can ever forget Paolo Maldini (then captain of the Italian squad) modelling for Police sunglasses.

I think Milanese men are rather suave, especially when they prance around in their "oh-so-cool" trenchcoats. Then again, I had plenty of teenage fantasies.

The best place for meeting them will be in metros and buses.

And some Milanese men can be friendly and persistant. We were literally "chased" down the street by a guy who tried to illicit some response from us. At that time, we were quite afraid...
