"Halong Bay" Ha Long by akikonomu

Ha Long Travel Guide: 447 reviews and 1,522 photos

Halong Bay, situated on the North Eastern coast of Vietnam, has been slated a UNESCO site.

Formed by thousands of limestone islets jutting above the waters, caves and grottoes, it definitely takes more than a few days to explore the area.

Experiencing Halong Bay in a small private boat meandering around narrow lagoons and waterways is probably the best way to enjoy the bay.

There are too many islets to be remembered and having a guide point them out is probably a good way to know more about the place.

Even without a guide to point out that islet resembling a teapot or animal, you can still enjoy the silent solitude of the bay by boating to less touristy areas of the bay.

Less words, more pictures for an overview of the beauty of Halong Bay.
