Didn't actually stayed at the Banyan tree as I was there alone, and most of the rooms were villas.

Booked a spa package there though. On the pricey side, but a good one-time experience for me.

You enjoy the massage in an open air room with banana trees and trickling water to soothe your mind. You can choose fthe soft, medium or hard style of massage (I chose the medium but looking back, I should have gone for the hard one). At the end of it, you relax with ginger tea and dried fruits.

The service is excellent!!

Unique Qualities: Excellent service, well scaped gardens and grounds to make you feel as though you were cut off from the rest of the world.

Only observed the exterior of the resort, when I was plying the lagoon linking the chain of resorts in the Laguna beach area.

There's a busy pool right beside the lagoon. Development was taking place nearby (Allamanda I think) so the scene may have changed.

The rooms exit into the lagoon which is a dinstinctive feature amongst the hotels there.

Fancy waking up to the sounds of rolling waves and a great sea view? Book yourself a beach view room. The beach is about a 100m from the room.

The step down bath makes a good place for the long deserved soak, alone or for two (probably can fit in about three to four people?).

Enjoy the evening sunset over the beach whilst chilling out at the balcony. No complaints about the services - they even noticed it was my birthday and sent me a complimentary cake as a surprise.

The pool overlooks the beach and they also organise activities such as kayaking, snorkeling, batik painting and other activties to keep adults and children busy.
